Tangoe, Inc. Acquires InterNoded, Inc.

"The addition of MDM capabilities now enables an organization to manage, through a single solution provider, all aspects of its mobile communication environment including: procurement, invoice processing, rate optimization, end user help desk support, device activation and deactivation, device network and application management, and device and data security.

Using Tangoe’s MDM solution, employees can provision and support their own devices and applications without help desk intervention. Similarly, IT departments and mobile communications administrators can now effectively manage their entire mobile network from one centralized interface... Tangoe’s MDM solutions enable a comprehensive range of solutions from self-service activations, application loading and control, device inventory, and data and device security. In addition, over-the-air management provides clients with unparalleled access and control of their enterprise smart devices without the need to physically handle or configure each unit.

With the capability to support multiple wireless platforms (including Blackberry Enterprise Server, Windows Mobile, Good Mobile Messaging, iPhone, and others), Tangoe’s MDM solutions offer capabilities for any enterprise smartphone, are enabled for any carrier, and support leading messaging platforms. MDM is delivered via a single server that integrates with the customers’ device servers and corporate directory. Accessed via an easy-to-use portal environment, over-the-air management functionality is made available to both end users and to system administrators through a web interface."

InterNoded IMDM manages multiple messaging platforms.

"The InterNoded Mobile Device Manager (IMDM)... can manage devices based on the BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Good Messaging platforms, all from within the same system... the user is able to provision their device of choice via a simple self-service portal. While other features, such as password resets and device wipes, can be found on the latest versions of Windows Mobile and server-side software for the BlackBerry, IMDM offers a consistent interface and platform to do it. On the administrative end, the consistent interface also makes defining IT policies across various smartphone platforms a breeze."
