HTC brings enhanced OTA updates with Smith Micro device management software.

"Smith Micro Software, Inc. has signed a global licensing agreement with High Tech Computer ("HTC"), to preload and distribute the Insignia Mobile Device Management client on the next generation of HTC Smartphones for consumers and business users worldwide.

Through this agreement, HTC's Microsoft Windows Mobile based Smartphones will ship with Smith Micro's Insignia Open Management Client (OMC), enabling HTC to deliver a higher service level to expedite firmware updates and handset software application upgrades to its mobile devices to market over-the-air (FOTA)."

Smith Micro in licensing agreement with Wavecom.

"The firm's wireless management software will be used by Wavecom S.A. in its machine-to-machine device management service, which is used by equipment manufacturers and service providers to run remote diagnostics, upgrade applications and firmware, and add features to their products via wireless connections."

Smith Micro licenses Insignia technology to Sybase.

"Aliso Viejo-based Smith Micro Software said today that it has licensed its firmware over-the-air technology to SyBase iAnywhere, a subsidiary of Sybase. Smith Micro's technology will be included with Sybase iAnywhere's embedded software development kit as part of Smith Micro's Insignia Open Management Client. The technology allows for remote update and upgrade of mobile devices. "

Smith Micro to acquire assets of Insignia Solutions.

"Smith Micro Software, Inc. , a developer and marketer of a wide range of software and services for the wireless market, and Insignia Solutions, plc , a pioneer in mobile device management and a key provider of provisioning-infrastructure software to mobile operators and device manufacturers around the world, jointly announced a definitive agreement for Smith Micro to acquire substantially all of the assets of Insignia Solutions, including its mobile device management business... Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, Smith Micro will purchase substantially all of the assets of Insignia Solutions for cash and cancellation of debt, and will assume certain liabilities of Insignia, for a total deal value of $18,575,000. The completion of the transaction is subject to certain closing conditions."

Insignia engages strategic advisor.

"Insignia Solutions... has engaged SVB Alliant, the investment banking arm of Silicon Valley Bank to assist the Company as it considers strategic funding, acquisitions or mergers to best position the company to leverage opportunities in over-the-air device management solutions."

Insignia announces 6 new customers signed by Huawei.

"Strategic Reseller [Huawei] Signs Six Mobile Operators Based on Insignia's Device Management Suite... In June 2005, Insignia and Huawei entered into a partnership agreement to address an impending need by operators worldwide to remotely manage and update mobile devices."

Insignia Solutions receives delisting notice from NASDAQ.

"Insignia Solutions (NASDAQ:INSG) announced that it has received a notice today from NASDAQ that shares of its common stock will be delisted from The NASDAQ Capital Market effective as of the opening of business on April 25, 2006 for failure [to] maintain a minimum of $2.5 million in stockholders' equity."

Insignia licenses Bitfone patents.

Insignia unifies mobile phone device and data management.

Insignia "has added OMA-DS data synchronization technology to its Open Management Client 'OMC', a full featured device management solution for mobile phones. OMC now provides synchronization of personal information such as address book, contacts and emails using Over-The-Air (OTA) synchronization technologies."

Insignia Solutions changes symbol, names CFO.

"Insignia Solutions began trading Friday on the Nasdaq under the symbol 'INSGE,' a change necessitated by the company's failure to file its third-quarter report with the Securities and Exchange Commission... Also Friday, the company announced that John Davis will join the company on Dec. 8 as chief financial officer. He had been CFO at Redwood Shores-based Wherify Wireless Inc."

Insignia Automatic Device Configuration selected by four mobile operators.

Mobile operators may use the Insignia ADC to trigger workflows created by Insignia's Intelligent Service Creation Environment(TM), or ICE(TM), to perform specific initial device configuration based on a subscriber's demographic information, such as age or gender, usage history or other subscriber-specific information maintained in the carrier's network. ICE can be used to customize the browser home page, bookmarks, and media player settings, install specific applications, configure email accounts and install Over-the-Air Firmware. The technology can also be used to upgrade the consumer's phone to include mobile operator branding and customizations, and to conveniently diagnose and repair mobile devices."

MATERNA's vistream division licences Insignia's mobile device management suite.
