"McAfee's most recent threat report, announced last month, revealed a steady increase in threats to mobile platforms as the number of new pieces of mobile malware grew by 46 percent in 2010.
The report also revealed 20 million new pieces of malware last year, which equates to almost 55,000 new malware threats each day. Of the nearly 55 million total pieces of malware McAfee Labs has identified, 36 percent were created in 2010."
